AP4118 AEI Rail Tag Programmer
The AP4118 Rail Tag Programmer is used to program TransCore AT5118 Rail Tags, which use Super eGoÂ® protocol. Programming occurs via a radio frequency (RF) signal. Tag programmer functions include programming permissible tag data pages and interrogating permissible data pages. Tag data pages can be easily programmed.
PT5780 AEI Programmer Permissions Tags
The PT5780 Permissions Tag is used to configure the AP4118 Rail Tag Programmer. Multiple programmer parameters, such as programmer control number, serial number, and tag programming certification expiration date are transferred from the permissions tag to the AP4118 via the RF link. The AP4118 validates the permissions tag data and, if valid, stores the data in the programmer’s non-volatile memory. The PT5780 tag configures an AP4118 programmer to program 902 to 928 MHz tags.
SmartPassÂ® 4 Reader
TransCore’s SmartPassÂ® 4 is a fully integrated, self-contained 915 MHz wireless radio frequency identification (RFID) reader. Each SmartPass 4 reader includes a radio frequency (RF) module, digital signal processor (DSP), power supply, antenna (unless external antenna option is selected), I/O interfaces, and RS-232 or RS-422 serial communications interface.
AI1200 AEI Reader
The microprocessor-controlled, dual-channel AI1200 Reader provides an operational link between objects with radio frequency (RF) tags and host information management systems. The reader receives a demodulated signal from the RF module, decodes the ID information, validates the ID code, and transmits the code along with any appended information, such as time and date, input status, or receiving antenna identification, to the host computer system. The AI1200 Reader also performs control operations specified by the user through reader commands entered at the host computer or through a terminal connected to the AUX-1 port.
AR2200 (Version 2) AEI RF Module
The AR2200 (Version 2) RF Module is a dual-output radio transmitter/receiver that is controlled by a TransCore AI1200 series Reader. Upon command from the reader, the RF module generates and delivers an RF signal to one or two antennas for broadcast. The RF module then receives and demodulates the reflected tag signal returned through the antenna and preamplifies and conditions the demodulated signal before sending it to the reader.
Multiprotocol AEI Rail Reader (MPRR)
TransCore’s Multiprotocol Rail Reader (MPRR) is a fully integrated, self-contained 902- to 928-MHz wireless radio frequency identification (RFID) reader that is specifically designed for rail applications. The MPRR is a replacement for TransCore’s AI1200 Reader/AR2200 RF Module systems. The MPRR can read AAR format and SeGo protocol tags.
EncompassÂ® 1i Handheld Reader
The EncompassÂ® 1i Handheld Reader combines TransCore’s IP30 TC RFID Scan Handle and the Intermec CN3x Mobile Computer (models CN3e and CN3f). The handheld reader is ideal for radio frequency identification (RFID) applications requiring an extended read range, multitag sorting, and memory capacity not provided by proximity technology.
TransCore AEI Train Recording Unit (TRUâ„˘)
The TransCore Train Recording Unit (TRUâ„˘) captures AEI (Automatic Equipment Identification) tag data and other data to report an accurate train consist to railroad management systems. It is the key component used to implement AEI reader systems at mainline rail locations in North America. The TRU records detailed information about trains, uses the information to create “clean consists,” and then transmits consist reports to one or more host computer systems. A train “clean consist” report is a train listing in standing order, where orientation of tagged equipment is provided, location of untagged equipment is provided, and car count is accurate. The TRU accommodates and accurately filters data from normal operating procedures such as changes in speed and direction. The TRU also incorporates intelligence to handle both single and multi-track locations.
AA3140 Log Periodic AEI Antenna
The AA3140 Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Log Periodic Antenna broadcasts and receives radio frequency (RF) signals in the 845 to 950 MHz band. The AA3140 PCB Log Periodic Antenna is a compact, low gain, wide beam-width antenna ideal for installations requiring maximum coverage at close range of 20 feet.
AA3100 Yagi Antenna
The AA3100 Yagi Antenna broadcasts and receives radio frequency (RF) signals in the 915 MHz RF band. For installations requiring a relatively symmetrical, three-dimensional reading area, the AA3100 Yagi Antenna offers a broadcast pattern of similar configuration and dimension in both the horizontal and vertical planes.
